Kim,

Wow! I sympathize with you, but I wonder what to do. We tell moms to return
any pumps to the drug store or whereever if they don't like it, and I think
they should be able to. What about returning pumps to us, be it the
mini-electric, the Lact-B, the new Pump-in-style, a Nurture III, or a Natural
choice? Obviously, we can't resell them, and the cost to us to take them
back is prohibitive. I haven't had a situation like this; all of the pumps I
ahve sold the moms have been happy with -- so far. But I can imagine a
situation like you describe where mom gets home with a $180 pump and dad goes
ballistic when he sees the price tag, and regardless of how many times she's
used it, tells her to take it back. (I don't buy the "I don't want to double
pump" she can single pump with it...I think there is more to it than that.)
But it does bring up the issue of satisfied customers -- for whatever reason
-- and the need to be able to afford to do business when we are a relatively
small rental station/business.

Medela -- Egnell -- y'all out there? thoughts, anyone?
