I'm sure to get flamed for this, but if BFing reduces medical costs
dramatically, and produces smarter, much healthier kids, than
shouldn't public policy require it? We require vaccinations, seat
belts, protective car seats for infants, etc., so the restriction of
personal freedom for health reasons is well established. Why not,
then, make breastfeeding compulsory? At the very least, a
prescription should be required for ABM.
