I met with the Ezzos and asked them directly, "Have either of you read any
book or journal article on the subject of human lactation?"  The answer was a
clear "No."  I have and continue to challenge them about the appropriateness
of writing on a subject that they have not studied.  However, they are more
interested in the bigger picture of Growing Kids Gods Way, than in the
"small" issue of breastfeeding success.  (Please understand that I, in no
way, agree with this.  I'm merely trying to explain their position)  These
parents are specifically told to stay away from LLL.  LCs may be contacted if
necessary but their advice must be used only when it doesn't conflict with
their writing.  (The secular version of Prep may be found in some of your
local bookstore.....Babywise....I reviewed it for JHL last year)

For the sake of accuracy, he is not a Youth Director, but a Christian
Education pastor, with a Master's in same.  While this may seem a small
point, it makes a large difference in terms of his credibility within the
church.  Also, the reason this whole thing got started is that people asked
them the secret to raising their two daughters, who by all acounts are
wonderful.

The frightening thing to me is, not so much what they write, but how people
quickly buy into it, lock, stock, & barrel AND take it even further.  I've
heard these parents (with my own ears) say some extremely cruel things
relative to their baby's crying and such.

Oh, woe.......Sigh.........
