The baby I described several weeks ago had osteopathic treatment #3 today.
His head is getting rounder as the parietal bones come out from under the
frontal bone and move into a more normal position. He can control his milk
intake and coordinate breathing by using a Haberman feeder with mom's pumped
milk in it. He latches on now and then but can't draw the nipple into his
mouth. He seems to need something firmer than mom's nipple against his palate
in order to suck. Several hours after the treatment, he latched and nursed
well for nearly 10 minutes - FIRST EVER good nursing. I'm getting this all
on videotape, including closeups of how his suck is changing. Stay tuned.
