Arly's point, about an allergic reaction, is a good one. My midwife and I
went through the whole list: different spermicide (no) different detergent
(no) new underwear (no) change in diet (no) --- nothing seemed to fit. I
realize that it's possible to develop an allergic reaction to something that
has previously been OK but it doesn't seem as plausible, and the fact that I
didn't develop symptoms when I used the monistat cream immediately
post-coitally would seem to strengthen my suspicions. I don't normally like
the "practice" (apt word) of medicine that says, "Let's take this, and see if
it works - then we'll know what we have!" but it DID help in this instance!
Mary R, wondering what my husband would think if he knew this discussion was
taking place????
