I am affronted. When a mother asks me which formula she should use I always
tell her that is not my area of expertise and I have no information on
formula. Why would a formula manufacturer promote themselves as an authority
on breastfeeding? The fact that breastfeeding information is accompanied in
a gift pack by the offending article is in contravention of the WHO code.
The presence of the company logo (a cuddly teddy bear which idealizes the
use of the product) appears to be a marketing ploy designed to establish
brand loyalty.
