I have directed a whole bunch of questions re. WIC directly to
Jeannette Newman-Velez.  I would, however, appreciate responses
from any LC or breastfeeding co-ordinator, working with WIC, re.
your job description, how you motivated for your post, etc.  The
National Nutrition and Social Development Programme (what a
mouthful!) in South Africa, is currently under review.
Previously, this   operated mainly as a handout programme.  We
are hoping that this is going to change for the better and I
would like to work on recommendations to support breastfeeding.
