Tom--
I use canned (also known as condensed) skim milk in my coffee
(condensed/canned milk is common here in Canada, especially in Newfoundland
and in the north. It's still used as breastmilk substitute in many places).
This canned skim milk allows me to have something resembling cream without
the fat. I guess if I had to use it on my cereal, I'd agree with your
comment that canned milk is an "atrocious, abominable, disgusting
substance." However, if I also start thinking of formula/ABM/PIMP/whatever
as "canned milk" it may put me off my coffee forever! Please, let's keep
looking for a good name for this stuff, but I vote NO for "canned milk"--I
want to keep using it in my coffee without thinking of the "other stuff."<g>
