Hi all,
Took my son to the dentist around the age of four and I could NOT BELIEVE it
when told that he had several rotten teeth! Neither of my other children
had ever had any. He nursed to sleep every night for four years. Anyway,
he had to have them capped with metal and they looked awful until they came
out and his permanent teeth came in. But since his permanent teeth came in,
they have been perfect and at fifteen has had no other dental problems. The
dentist never mentioned that breastfeeding could have been the cause,
probably because he would never have dreamed the child was still nursing!!
BTW, all my children have perfectly straight teeth and compared to a lot of
our friends who bottlefed, we have saved thousands of dollars in orthodontic
work.
