My daughter just shared with me an excerpt from a book that she had received for her 15th birthday. The book is called, "Once Upon a More Enlightened Time," by James Finn Garner and is a sequel to "Politically Correct Bedtime Stories." The story in question in entitled, "Sleeping Persun of Better-than-average Attractiveness," which is, of course, a modern version of "Sleeping Beauty."
In the story, the king and queen have been trying to conceive a child. One day, the queen encounters a majickally enhanced frog who gives her the following advice:
"Get some regular exercise, eat more greens and grains and eliminate animal fat from your diet. Later, if you need one, I can recommend a good lactation consultant."
Let's hear it for our little green friend!
