Several moms on Parent-L have been getting negative messages from their
doctors about continuing to nurse because their cholesterol is elevated. The
doctors want them to either go on extremely low-fat diets, which for some has
had an impact on milk quality or quantity, or wean and start taking
cholesterol-lowering drugs. Is high cholesterol a transient effect of
breastfeeding that should be ignored? I will pass on all answers posted here
or to me privately to the moms on Parent-L.
