A mom nursing a 2.5 yr old child "for a few minutes once or twice a day" was
given the following 2 amphetamines for obesity. The doctor at the clinic did
not know she was nursing, and the mom asked my friend, a nurse at the same
hospital, if they are okay to take. The drugs are: fenflouramine and
phentermine, both taken together before lunch and before dinner. Mom is not
desperate to take the meds, the doctor volunteered them. Our tax dollars at
work! TIA.
