Our MJ rep (smiling as he said it) told me that Wyeth was quitting
the ABM business.  Hoorah!!  But only in the US  (boooo!).  He was
quit to point out that Wyeth had only a small population (he
compared it to Carnation) but were trying to be a big dog like MJ
and Ross!  His whole purpose for this visit was to let me know
because "he didn't want us to expect to get something from Wyeth
and then find out too late they were debunked)  --the nerve!!!  He
then proceeded to discuss how the ABM market worked (WOW can he
make run for your knee-high boots!!).  I am the Assitant Director
of Maternal/Child Services and I was there, the Director, and a
labor nurse.  Well the Director asked me to contact the rep in re
our upcoming triplets (now delivered, see next post) to see if
they could provide her with some "assistance."  I said I would
look into and conveniently forgot (the mother was never asked if
she planned to supplement and if how, with what; so I felt I
should talk with her first).  Anyway, since I had not asked him,
she did.  He went into a long spiel about their excellent program
to support families of multiples (BORING and unfactual).  He said
the pediatrician would have to call to enroll the family (imagine
that... ABM companies and pediatricians working together!).  His
reason was the he needed a single contact person (?????).  I could
not take it any more and excused myself by saying that I needed to
see a mom who needed help with breastfeeding and was adamant she
wasn't going to use any ABM (and I said the words too, not
"formula)!!

I later corrected all his misinformation and intentional
misleading marketing ploys.  They sure do teach these guys good.
I bet ABM companies have good relations with shovel companies too!
