A few weeks ago on Lactnet there was mention of the Glopar project. This project is the WABA Global Participatory Action Research Project. The first phase
in eight pilot countries has been reported on. report available from WABA.
The second phase is now starting. The increase in intrest on Lactnet and other
media may be because the US is a phase two country. There are many phase two
countries. For more details contact the WABA Secretariat, ATLAS Project,
PO Box 1200, 10850 Penang, Malaysia. Fax : 60-4-6572655. Phase two countries
will be contacted in Jan. 96 by WABA to set up local projects. If you
are interested and haven't heard anything locally, contact WABA for the name of the local contact. The US and the UK have local project co-ordinators. I
don't know about the other countries.
