I'm sure others will respond with exact risks of exposure from EBM dripped on
the finger cut; to me the risk seems very minimal.
But I would like to point out, as I do in staff development/continuing
education programs, that breastmilk is a body fluid and when we are handling
it or likely to come in contact with, or with broken skin (cracked nipples,
bleeding nipples) we should wear gloves, as per universal precaution
guidelines.
