Sue: In my own personal opinion, no matter how factual and encouraging
their literature is, the fact that it is presented in a cooler with a
bottle and a can of ABM speaks for itself. There is no reason I can
think of for an ABM company to be promoting breastfeeding or "educating"
mothers about breastfeeding. The detrimental effects of ABM discharge
packs on the duration of breastfeeding are well documented. It's time to
educate the parents to leave them at the hospital and send a strong
message to the ABM companies and the hospitals that support this
practice. I think that's my first soapbox and I'm feeling giddy
already. Alicia. [log in to unmask]
