I wonder if this mom is removing the baby from the breast to burp every few minutes, thus causing *more*
ingestion of air? I was mystified by a similar case until the mother mentioned that she babysat a bottlefed
fed baby in addition to taking care of her own child. Bottlefeeding being part of the prevailing culture in
my neck of the woods, :-( this woman assumed that one burped the baby every few minutes when breastfeeding,
just like when bottlefeeding.
