To the woman who had bleeding resembling a period towards the end of her
first trimester (I apologize for not having your name handy):

I need to double check my sources, but to the best of my knowledge, it is
possible that your bleeding was caused by a rocky transition of hormonal
production from the ovaries to the placenta.

If anyone else has information on this, I would be interested to know about
it.
