Another example of the baby bottle as the norm:
(This appeared in Fife & Drum, a council newsletter of which I have been a
Girl Scout leader for 8 years)
On Tuesday, March 12, 1996, Girl Scouts across the country will celebrate the
84th birthday of Girl Scouting by joining with members of their community in
a national day of service. "Be Your Best" Day promotes a partnership between
all Girl Scouts and people in their community, local businesses,
organizations and service agencies.

Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council, along with several other Delaware Valley
Girl Scout councils, is supporting this day of service by sponsoring the
collection of "Baby Bundles" for needy infants throughout the area. What are
Baby Bundles? Diapers, *formula, baby food, bottles*... packaged in a
bundle for a needy baby.

On Be Your Best Day, March 12, bundles will be assembled and readied for
distribution through:
welfare departments pregnant women shelters
domestic abuse shelters places of worship
local hospitals and clinics shelters for the homeless

If anyone has a itch (after reading this) to join me in educating this l
Girl Scout organization about what being your best really means, please write
Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council, Ann D. Giunta, President, 100 Juliet Low
Way, P.O. Box 814, Valley Forge, PA 19482.
