Subj: RE: microwaving thrushy bras
I don't understand how microwave ovens work, and I am suspicious that no one
else on the list does either. But I think that there has to be something that
absorbs the radiation and dry cloth would not do that. How would we do any
harm to the yeast spores if they were dry. Wouldn't they come through the
episode unscathed?
The microwave sterilizer uses steam to sterilize the objects that are inside a
large container. It might work to sterilize a damp bra inside a microwave
dish, but I don't think that just putting a bra into a microwave would ensure
killing all yeast.
My neighbor keeps a glass of water in her MV oven to ensure that no damage
occurs if someone accidently hits the start button.
I think that we need better info before telling people to cook bras in
Microwaves.
