Barbara:  I don't know to what extent egg protein from the vaccine is
likely to get into mom's milk, but in a very allergic person, only a
minimal exposure is needed, therefore there is a need to be cautious.
The only indications for flu shots are in people over 65, people with
chronic lung and heart problems, diabetes or other serious debilitating
illnesses, and in health care workers(to protect their patients, not
them).  A history of previous pneumonia really is not an indication for a
