At the LLLI Conference in July I attended a session on helping moms who are
returning to work. One of the things mentioned was that immunities will cling
to P----x bags but not to bags made for freezing BM. Has anyone ever heard
this before, or where the research to back this up would be found? Would this
have anything to do with Catherine's statement that milk stored in the P---x
bags can only be stored for 2 weeks because they're not air tight?
Also, I know that BM freshly expressed can be kept at room temp. for 6-10
hrs. and that thawed BM can be refrigerated for 24 hrs., but how long can BM
be kept at room temp once it is removed from the freezer or fridge? I haven't
been able to find this out in any literature.
TIA,
Patt Jamieson, LLL, AAPL
