I think we better get used to this. These two new combination drugs are all
the rage--there have been talk shows, etc re: how effective they are proving
to be for permanent weight loss. In combination these drugs serve to
complement each other and to modify the seratonin levels in the brain (hunger
signals). My PDR says they are not amphetamines, but similar. Since I'm am
most definitely NOT a pharmacology expert, I'll hope that Tom Hale or someone
will jump in on this.
I expect that this will really take off, much like the liquid diets 7 yrs
ago. I currently have 2 friends on this and my husband may start, as well as
3 other friends looking into it. The point to all this is that we need some
answers for the impact on pregnancy (probably a no-no) & lactation.
