Dear Gary,

Prednisone is standard oral steroid therapy used by physicians. It has been
deemed "usually compatible with breastfeeding" by the Americal Academy of
Pediatrics in their report entitled "The Transfer of drugs and other
chemicals into human milk". Pediatrics 1994;93(1):137-150. They do not
describe any adverse effects on the nursing infant associated with maternal
use of this medication.
