Dear Narelle,
My personal experience of nipple soreness happened around ovulation. At
those times I often felt rather irritated about nursing and sometimes felt
that I just didn't want to be touched. Of course nothing was more important
to me than nursing my baby, so these feelings didn't seem to make sense. I
think that the most helpful things to me were to acknowledge the ambivalent
feelings, to realize that they were hormonally conditioned, and to know that
they would only last a couple of days. I hope this helps.
