Another mom in my LLL Group is nursing an 8-month-old, and is still using the
SNS 3x day for a total of 12 oz/day. Baby is happy, healthy, alert, and all
that, and is not particularly interested in solids. Mom would still like to
get off SNS. Aside from cutting back 1/2 oz every couple of days or even more
often if she feels comfortable with it, what other ideas are floating out
there? I though of suggesting that she spread the supplement out more -instead
of 4 oz 3x/day, try for 2 oz 6x/day -- make the baby more hungry more often so
will encourage more frequent nursing and stimulate milk production. Does this
make sense? Also maybe go to the smallest size tubing if she does this?
