I can't tell you any direct experience but can clue you to a possibility.
I have had a mother with low milk and a low T4, her milk production improved
after starting on Synthroid.
Graves disease is classically a hyperthyroid condition but a referring
endocrinologist told me that actually the eye changes noted with Graves
disease can result with a number of different patterns of abnormal (high and
low thyroid levels and sometimes even normal thyroid levels) If the person
has high enough levels that need to be treated, she will need carefull
monitoring of her treatment and nursing as somemeds are absolutely
contriindicated with BF and some are acceptible in CERTAIN cases. IF she is
treated than she MAY go through a period of low thyroid and then have to
start a thyroid supplement.
