Dear Lactneters:
I sent for the article on Bovine Serum Albumin from several weeks back and
found the association between BSA in powdered formula and cows milk and IDDM
very interesting. Others factors were increased viral infections during
infancy and genetic factors.

Does anyone on the net know how long the gut is permeable enough for infants
to absorb these large molecules directly into the blood stream? Somewhere I
recall the number 6 months--is this correst?

Thanks, Gretchen
