Hi,
My manager just came back from the NANN Conference in San Antonio. She said
she kept hearing a lot of talk about studies on circumcised infants not
breastfeeding for 24 hours after circ due to pain and truama. She said there
was also a study done on using
a local for the circ and having better breastfeeding in the next 24 hours.
This was especially important for early discharges. Does anyone know
anything about these studies?? Where can I get some of this information? Is
there a hospital that has made it policy for circs to be done with a local??
