I hope someone can help me. I spoke to a mom of a nursing 20 month old who
wants to get pregnant again. Her OB/GYN has told her that she has to wean
because nursing during pregnancy will cause miscarriage. Mom and baby are
not ready to wean. First pregnancy was uneventful, baby was full term and
labor was unmedicated. There appears to be no medical reason for weaning. I
gave her the information I had on nursing during pregancy but I would like to
know if there have been any recent studies done on this so she can be ready
to "educate" her OB/GYN. Any references would be appreciated.
