Yess!!! I had a case once, and it was due to  dental work. This is actually
documented in Sander's Infectious disease booklet that most doctors use for
antibiotic choice. These cases are anaerobic, caused by peptostreptococcus,
and so require a drug like metronidazole, as opposed to diclox or a
cephalosporin. That is the only other reason that I KNOW OF causing
mastitis in a nonlactator, besides cancer or another obstructing lesion.
