Despite my strong feelings of agreement, when my son was a pre-schooler I let
the dentist talk my into leaving the room as my "presence" was supposedly
upsetting him. I stood outside the door long enough to hear him tell James
how bad he was, then I heard James' *muffled* sobs and flung the door open as
the dentist *slapped* my child!!!
Funny side note, a couple months later I was taking in another child's stool
sample & parked in front of this dentist's office. I gave a brief
explanation to James about what I was doing, but not mentioning the Dr. When
we pulled up, he started gleefully yelling, "Mom's giving that bad dentist a
jar of poop!"
:>) Nancy, who will NEVER leave a family member during a procedure again.
