I am confused about the term "nipple confusion". Just what does this mean??
(Please don't respond. I'm being sarcastic)
Seriously- I really shy away from that term. I once heard someone much
wiser than I am (myabe Kittie Franz?) say that a better term might be
"Nipple Preference" or "Feeding Preference". When mothers ask me about
nipple confusion I usually say something about breast and bottle feeding
being different and using different muscles. I then suggest that it's best
to allow a baby to learn one new skill at a time, especially after just
being born!! I always felt that it might be misunderstood and that was
reiterated by the lacnet post. I do learn so much here!
