Jon,
Mom can probably double pump with one hand.  I know with the Am--- Eg---- dual
kit you can place one unit on one breast and hold it in place with the inner
arm (just below the elbow), then hold the other unit on the opposite breast
with the hand of the same arm.  The arm is held flexed at the elbow, crossed
in front of the breasts.  It makes a big difference in the convenience of
double pumping.
        This mom could also pump at night while she is feeding her baby on the
other side.
Wish her luck.  Pumping is hard work, but with the right tools, it can
definately by "do-able".
