Sorry, I tried in vain to send this message to the e-mail address I thought
Marsha Walker had given for writing about this, but it bounced, and now I
cannot find Marsha's e-mail number either, so I'll have to get it to you
this way.

I have worked with Miriam during
>>the very difficult Informal Group for Action on Breastfeeding (WHO;
>>UNICEF; USAID and SIDA) process that led up to the Innocenti Declaration.
>>I saw firsthand how she handled incredible stress
>>and continued to keep her cool in a complex negotiating situation with
>>international agencies and donors, so could write something about that. I
>>have years ago written to Ted Kennedy and Matt McHugh (the latter on
>>several occasions) and gotten responses, so they may remember me. Michael
>>Latham at Cornell University knows them both much better and may know
>>Miriam, I'm not
>>sure.
