Hi, I am new to Lactnet. I am an IBCLC who is also an SNM (almost
graduate Nurse-midwife -- just waiting for results of my comprehensive
exam). I will be sitting for ACNM Boards in December. I live in a rural
area -- Shelton, WA. I worked for five years as an RN at a small hospital
doing OB (L&D, mother-baby, nsy.) and occ. med-surg nursing. I also was
in private practice part-time and had a pump rental station.  I plan to
practice in this community and would like to keep the LC piece of my
practice, esp since newborn care up to age 6 wks, at least, is considered
part of the scope of CNM practice.  I am excited to see this network of
people supporting breastfeeding moms. I will be passing on info about it
