I have been working with a mom whose baby is now 6 weeks old. They got off to
a shakey start with a slow weight gain and bi-weekly clinic visits(military
hospital). Mom has saline implants with axillary incision site. She also has
a history of eating disorders. This mom at first was saying "all the right
things" in intake interviews with both me and the nurses/doctors at the
clinic. Now she is doing the rounds--calling each of us with slightly
different scenarios. Her most recent "complaint" to me is that when she puts
baby to breast she experiences a tingling feeling down the leg on the side
which she is nursing on (right breast, right leg). She also reported feeling
light headed and like she was having a panic attack last night with baby at
breast. Baby's weight is not an issue at this point since all involved feel
he is gaining adequately. Her solution is to pump and bottle (after all
that's what working mom's do) but is dissatisfied with the quantity she is
able to get with the L-----and double set up.

Does anyone on this wonderful list have any helpful gems? Have any of your
clients ever reported the tingling sensation this mother is experiencing?
