This client has a 12 month old, nursing with no problems. At 9 months,
mom had a blood test that showed a "high level of ionized calcium." (In
the mom, not the child) It wasn't elevated during pregnancy. Mom is
having bone density tests done; doesn't have results yet.
She doesn't plan to wean, but wonders if there's reason for concern. No
other health problems; slightly overweight, large frame. She knows about
studies showing some bone depletion during lactation that's replaced
later. How much is too much?
