I agree that it is best for women to attend a prenatal breastfeeding class as
well as a LLL meeting.  The class serves the purpose of giving specific
information for initiation and management of bfing, while the LLL mtg
provides excellent modeling of good atatchment parenting.  Unfortunately some
LLL leaders in my area feel LLL meetings prenataly are all that is necessary(
was told by a leader that it was ridiculous to attend a class, breastfeeding
is Natural. Hmm, I wonder if she attended childbirth classes?).  If only we
could bridge the gap between LCs and LLL leaders everyone would benefit! (or
for that matter, bridge the gap between MDs and LCs, RDs and LCs, etc., etc.)
