Kathleen, dearest...T-shirt creator, marketing director and Milky Way traveler
par excellence!
I just read your bitter-sweet words which were:
>Would someone please take a GROUP SHOT ( as my mil would say)...of all the
>LACTNETTERS at ILCA conference, preferably in t shirt attire?
>
>I am not going to be there, but would appreciate a photo or two of you all.
>
>Kathleen B. *sniff*..who wants to go to Arizona too....
Well, Kathleen, *double-sniff*....you *will* be there, and not just in
spirit, but on each of our backs:
-as we pose for the group photo gowned up in our exclusive and gorgeous attire.
-as we tease and giggle with each of our fellow LactNetters in our look-alike
duds.
-as we received the envious looks from those who either aren't able, at this
time to join LactNet due to any number of personal constraints OR who just
didn't want to 'fork over' $ 15 bucks for this collector's item.
-as we proudly share with others the miracle of cyber-space bonding that has
occured thanks to *both* you Kathleens.
(Babies and mommies aren't the only ones who experience bonding!)
And finally, as we pay visible tribute, T-shirts donned, to your selfless
effort to give us something tangible to make LactNet, *itself*, stand out
and shout to all those attending the ILCA Conference:
COME ON! JOIN LACTNET! IT'S A WONDERFUL, STIMULATING AND FUN WAY TO
CONTINUE LEARNING ABOUT BREASTFEEDING!
To finalize this e-mail tribute to you, KB, I would like to ask you to
remember that tongue-in-cheek hymn-like song from the 60-70's musical
"Bye-bye, Birdie" originally entitled "We love you Conrad".......and to
hear us sing it out in e-mail harmony with a small adjustment to the lyrics
( Is the fact the I majored in Music in college showing, anyone?):
Ready everyone? Ok! Hit it!....ta-ta-ta-ta-ta TA!
WE LOVE YOU KATHLEEN, OH YES WE DOOOOOO
WE DON'T LOVE ANYONE AS MUCH AS YOUUUUUUU
WHEN YOU'RE NOT NEAR US....WE'RE BLUE!
OH, KATHLEEN, WE LOVE *YOU*!!!!!!!
End of tribute....(was this a soapbox, gang?)
Roberta,
Mexican Milk Maid, Milky Way Momma, and Queen of the LactNet Chorus. Yeah!
P.S. I realize that I wrote all of the lyrics in caps, which according to
cyber-space rules = yelling....but I was singing loud *on purpose*.
By the way, people, you LactNetters didn't sound all that bad,
did they, Kathleen?
