Carolyn makes important points-fixed guns can include any guns that are used
in gun emplacements such as machine guns, gattling guns and mortars.  As
these guns can also be used in a more mobile capacity it should indicate that
the term refers more to the emplacement rather than the gun itself.  I tried
to say that in my posting but I don't think that was clear.
