Judy K.,

the only reason I can think of that a bf baby would have a pacifier
longer/more than a bo fed infant is that the bo fed infant can run around
outside with a bo hanging out of his mouth whereas a brfed baby can't do that
quite as well. But, my gut tells me he is WRONG. ('scuse me for
shouting....) However, I don't have any studies to back up the gut. sounds
interesting. I've seen moms here do the same thing to the pacifier - stick
it in their own mouths to clean it (?) and then put it in the baby's mouth.
Now, I've done a lot of goofy things with my kids, but that wasn't one of
them.

Jill loved her pacifer :( I "made" Torrey take one. (This is true
confession time folks), and Timothy refused pacifier, thumb, blanket, or
anything. He also liked to hang out at the breast for seemingly hours - once
he figured out what it was all about. Mornings were spent watching game
shows (ugh), and afternoons reading novels (not bad). Jill's pacifier was
eventually given to Charles Bear, and I don't remember what happened to
Torrey's.
