Hi friends-need your input asap please:

I have a mom in the hospital, para 1, with term newborn who appears to be
latched correctly, and sucking correctly, but mom presents with bruises
behind the nipple, top and bottom, bilaterally. We thought it was
positioning-corrected it (we thought) , and changed positions-now we have
bruises top and bottom in THAT axis. No tongue tie, normal palate, tongue
forward over the gum ridge, feels like good suck, good lip flange. Mom has
lupus (not systemic); states she sometimes bruises a little easily, but is
rapidly getting REALLY sore, and I don't know why. She is well educated, and
well motivated as well. What is going on here? Anyone who can help on this
one, please e-mail me quick! :)
