Historic St. Mary's City seeks applicants for assistance in completing a
Phase I Archaeological Survey on parts of the property of St. Mary's
College of Maryland. The effort will be performed under the direction of
the Research Department of Historic St. Mary's City, the agency
responsible for archaeological excavations within the site of Maryland's
17th century capital.

One site supervisor is needed who will conduct the field work, oversee
the laboratory processing, and write the final report. The individual
must have previous supervisory experience, a solid knowledge of field
archaeology, and a proven ability to carry reports to completion.

Additionally, several crew level assistants are needed.

The work is scheduled to begin in mid-June 1995 and be completed in March
1996. Salary range for all these jobs is dependent on qualifications and
approval by the College. Applicants must submit a C.V. with at least two
references and their phone numbers.

Due to time constraints, individuals are requested to FAX their cover
letter and resume directly to:
        Henry M. Miller
        Historic St. Mary's City
        301-862-0968.

E-mail inquiries can be directed to the attention of Henry Miller at the
