Sharon,
Could it possibly be yeast? I had a mother a couple of years ago who had
mastitis during the pregnancy, and developed what I later determined to
be a yeast infection of the ducts before delivery. Why not post partum?
Have you screened her for yeast risk factors? It's worth a try, and so is
the potential cure....
