I would suggest finding a Traditional Medicine Person (TMP) from Indonesia
to ask if there are side effects, drug interactions, of which to be aware.
Our TMP we work with on my Reserve has expensive knowledge about drug
interactions, far more than doctors know.

Just because Western studies have been done on a small scale, and therefore
don't meet certain criteria (RCTs) do not suggest it isn't safe.
Informed choice discussion is optimized when we discuss and learn from each
other.

A bigger question could be that now this TMP is getting into Western
supplements, does that affect the efficacy of it? We have seen that when
our medicines are 'discovered' by Western scientists, the way it works and
the potency does change. Our TMPs don't make much money but boy oh boy,
companies which use TMPs for their own gain (that are not traditionally
theirs) can make a lot of money.
