I agree that the problem with the ABM Mastitis protocol is not the content but that it was published as a protocol – instead of an original article.

I also see a cultural bias. In 23 years as private practice IBCLC, I have never seen hyperlactation after mastitis – and the number of struggles with low milk supply (without mastitis or after mastitis) is uncountable and an everyday topic.

To be gentle towards the breast should be something obvious.
