I agree with many of the comments:
something has changed in our environment, possible the industrial food system, being one of the most damaging: I'm seeing more issues with tongues: if ignored 1. BF stops :-( 2. Speech therapy and or dental work eventually are needed.sometimes I doubt what I see and feel (It can't be another one :-( It is frustrating - to baby, to mom, to her support system, to me
I believe TT is real, it has increased, has many more subtle signs then the old obvious type 1 type, many babies aren't getting the breastfeeding they deserve as a new, little human.
I believe we have limited resources (TT drs and dentists, body work people, $$, insurance and so on)I don't have many answers, I appreciate, greatly, local dentists who try to fix TTs, people who do body work, supporters of all kinds. It gets discouraging when insurance doesn't help these parents and breastfeeder is left with double work of pumping.
