Sarah - I would definitely get this baby seen by a doctor, specifically one that specializes in nose/throat issues. He could have a small palate defect or sinus problem. It is not normal for a baby to make snoring or any sounds while asleep. I have seen a few babies over the years who were diagnosed with physical abnormalities that first presented as noises while sleeping.
