Hi,
So appreciate the reference to breastfeeding being a developmental milestone. As a PT, I have thought a lot about this lately being analogous to other milestones such as walking in which case settling for a wheelchair before specialist assessment, ongoing problem solving and planning to optimize function would be unacceptable! The more we can convey breastmilk as unique and unreplicable as blood, and breastfeeding as important a milestone as walking the better we can hopefully eliminate the bad advice...I hope! Thanks for this wonderful thread!
